last gym day for a while on friday. did arms and back, then got on the stairmaster and started at level 18. had to bump it down to lvl 15 after a few minutes though. wasn't feeling strong.

on sunday played a round of disc golf at central park in santa clarita, then jogged the 2 miles back to the house. was very hot.

last friday got to the gym and did arms and back, then ran 30 min on the treadmill (3.6miles)
no exercise since then, and now have some weird stomach bug

forgot to post last week but here's the rundown:
monday got to the gym and did back and arms, and 20 min on the stairmaster lvl 15
tuesday just a quick trip to the gym in between lectures and only did back/chest and leg presses

no more workouts all week but saturday and sunday threw frisbees  in ridiculous heat in La Mirada and jogged in between holes.

tried running with ilaria in the stroller this morning. she said she wanted to do it so i thought i'd see how far we could go before she got bored and wanted to come home. about a mile in she started asking if we were almost home, so it ended up a 2 mile run. oh well, worth a shot anyway. hopefully i can get to the gym tomorrow. had to take last week off due to a weird mystery sore throat but it's almost gone now.

oh yeah, the illness was a great weight-loss plan. down to about 175lbs on the scale this morning.

today at the gym did leg presses, seated rows and the back/chest machine, then 20 mins on the stairmaster lvl 16 aerobic.
did about 4 miles saturday in santa clarita, with 18 holes of disc golf in between. it was hot. damn hot.

last saturday i got to run outside for the first time in a while. 6.7 miles in about 55min. felt ok but calves got tight near the end.

tuesday got to the gym for weights. leg press, back/arms/chest. no cardio though.

did a 5k run in vegas this weekend, including some hills and stairs

today at the gym was bicep curls and triceps pushdowns on the cable machine at 95#, lat pulls at 125#, bench press machine at 150#, then 15 min stairmaster at level 16 aerobic

Yesterday at the gym was 25 min on the stairmaster, level 13 aerobic training. will bump it up a couple levels next time.

no gym today, ran out of time and got hungry for lunch.

ok, hovering around 180lbs for a while, ate fairly healthy food for a couple weeks, then father's day brownies hit me hard. gonna start going to the gym almost every day this summer, so i'm going to start blogging about it in an effort to keep at it.

today was lat pulls, chest and back, then 30 min on the stairclimber -  aerobic workout level 12

ran for the first time in a couple weeks today. was cruising along at ~9min miles until my right calf started to cramp again. this is getting ridiculous. i need to ride my bike more i think. that should get my calf the extension stretching it needs to really loosen up properly.

in other news, Coldstone has changed their hours. apparently they are only open until 9pm on M-Th. We were thwarted by that unexpected development yesterday, but tonight i got there just in time - 8:55pm. phew. it was tasty.

um, yeah, about those more frequent posts...been kinda lazy, i mean busy. yeah that's it. too busy.

been doing a bit better on snacking until tonight. i was forced to eat a gigantic cookie and some cake. thanks valentine!

weight is hovering around 185 lb. exercise was steady until about a week ago when my right calf cramped up while running home from work. as soon as that is better i will start again. guess i gotta run more slowly cuz i'm so dang old. :(

still plan on doing pier to peak in sept. and maybe a marathon in oct. hope it happens.

new year - new weight loss plan

hey it's my birthday again! another delicious chocolate cake is in progress, then the holiday choctasm will finally be over. feel like i've been eating candy nonstop since turkey day.

weight topped out at 189.9 lbs this time. plan on being back to 175 soon, if i can get enough exercise. diet will most certainly improve going forward. more frequent updates to come.
